**OT**The list of Democrats who are/were crooks is almost endless.

By gosh I'm glad you set me straight. I thought the crooks were on both sides of the isle.

Of course we have to overlook Spiro Agnew that was taking bribes in the Oval Office. Or all the Republicans that made a ton of money off off the Iran Contra deals. They all had to be pardoned in Reagan's last days in Office. All that money that disappeared didn't wind up in Iran or with the Contras and the Republicans in charge did see to it that the Democrats none.

A better way to say it would be "The list of Politicians that are/were crooks is almost endless"

Starting with President Grant this country has had a number of great Presidents whose appointees saw the trip to a Washington Job as invitation to self enrichment. Teapot Dome Scandle, Tamany Hall, Defense Contracts during World War 11, (that saw very poor product supplied to the military at premium prices).

I think that a lot of this political graft started during the Civil War when the US Governrnent for the first time had to rely on outside suppliers.(beef, pork, horses, blankets, tents, rifles, coffee) The grafters never looked back. When the war ended they turned their grafting ways to what is now th Bureau of Indian Affairs for more cash.

As I have stated on previous posts, Democrats get in trouble with sexual encounters, The Republicans just steal the money. Its tradition on both sides of the isle.
