I noticed an increased bias to the "dark side" when Gingrich came into power. It seemed like his rhetoric gave credibility to anger in general. His communication tone was that of nastiness. It was suddenly OK to be mean ,selfish, and to hate alot of things. It became fashionable to engage in name calling.
