The economy could be a U or a V for a pullout, but the tech stocks are a definite V. CISCO, SUNW, and INTC look like pronounced V's. AMAT looked like a definite U as it stayed in that trading range.

Two big events for next week. CSCO earnings and outlook for further rate cuts. If investors believe that another rate cut is about to arrive then there will be an anticipation rally.

Anyone know of other events next week that will effect the market?

Jerome

Gottfried, I think if most think it will be a U, then it will be turn out to be a V instead (money on the sidelines will chase the rally). If a V is the common belief, then it will be a U.

Here's hoping for lots of U-people (or L-people) on Wall Street.
