Harvey, all: With respect to Edelstone's comments, "If the courts rule these patents are invalid, you have to wonder how long these other companies are going to want to pay royalties," Edelstone told The Associated Press. The court did not rule Rambus' patents invalid. The court ruled that there was no infringement. It appears Edelstone knows very little about IP law. Rambus will appeal (that is for sure) and Rambus hopefully will present more evidence on appeal and make a showing how their claims are equivalent to that design.
