NoLonger a Theory. It's real alpha-processor.com

Unmatched HyperTransportTM Technology

Supports 64-bit, 66-MHz PCI.

Complies fully with PCI Local Bus Specification, Rev. 2.2

Provides two HyperTransportTM interfaces at up to 533MHz DDR for peak bandwidth of 1066 MB/s simultaneously in each direction.

Complies with Lightning Data Transport Interface Specifications Rev 1.0. (Exceptions: Only supports 8-bit links. No dynamic frequency reprogramming.)

Built-in 2-level PCI arbiter with support for up to six devices. It may also be configured to use and external arbiter.

Programmable interrupt controller with up to 20 interrupt sources.

Supports daisy-chaining up to 31 devices. Shares bandwidth among devices using a fairness algorithm.

No protocol-induced maximum HyperTransportTM link length. Allows system designer to operate speed vs. distance.

40-bit memory mapped space and 25-bit I/O space.

Supports transactionforwarding for the following commands:

All I/O and memory commands

Type 1 to Type 1 configuration commands (downstream only)

Type 1 to Type 0 configuration commands (downstream only)

Complies fully with parity and error-checking features in PCI Local Bus Specification, Rev. 2.2

3.3V or 5V PCI operation

Programmable pre-fetch of up to 1024 bytes among up to four oustanding requests.

Internal buffers to support high-speed operation, including:

512 bytes HyperTransportTM forwarding

192 bytes upstream write

64 bytes downstream write

1024 bytes upstream read

192 bytes downstream read

Thanks Ali, et al.,

"I think those analysts have no clue."

That's why when we Mom & Pops want answers about the semi-biz, we go straight to you EE guys for the real deal.

...Just don't ever come in here and expect us Mom & Pops to return the favor! Aside from a few Turnip farmers here and there, most of us be Silicon Spiritualists and Circuit Crusaders. ...If you ask us the wrong question we may have to turn you over to the Information Inquisition. Or burn you at the stake for Blasphemous Bashing. <Ho Ha8->
