Still 9 more days in the market before I travel/cash out which can be a small life-time. Should be a wild and woolly week ahead with all of us on the edges of our seat.

The last time we had a scheduled/expected rate cut you remember everyone wanted .75 and the market tanked when it came in at .50. The market peaked that day about two hours before the fed cut announcement. This time we don't have the .75 controversy so it may be a little different, or perhaps not.

I can only guess but I expect multiple waves of buying overcoming overhead resistance peaking to higher highs than we've seen in some time by the 15th. IBM 124, INTC 35, NOK 39 for example. Dogs will again out-perform, but not by much though I'm hoping LOR can hit $2.50 for example.

This will complete the short-term tech recovery and take us to temporary "fair value" (assuming the 2nd half recovery) or a little more. If the "Perfect Storm" comes together just right, expect 1st, 2nd and 3rd tier techs together with Baby Bells (finally) and the market in general including energy this time (gas prices over $2 now) to appreciate 10% average (5%-25%) in a broad rally which will take us to our short-term top on or around Fed cut day. At that point shorts will have a real opportunity (at least for a few days) with inevitable profit-taking there.

I don't even know if I will play the market this summer but aside from oil stocks which should do well there will be many dramatic moves. My feeling is that sometime in the fall-winter the market will experience another broad recovery rally as Fed cuts hit home and head to DOW 13,500 and Naz 3500. If I'm right and am lucky enough to trade in and out correctly there's a possibility of making 200-300% from the March low. A lot of will obviously depend on guessing the right direction, sectors and timing. So what else is new?
