Scared, They needed a sacrificial goat....and got one. I am sure everyone at Intel feels they are doing a good job, however when the debacles of the past 3 years are counted it seem obvious that there is a lot of sleep at the switch. Intel was prodded into premature and incorrect action by AMD. The use of Rambus also seems to have been an incorrect action, as measured by uptake and acceptance. Is Rambus another error by Intel. I think it is and they are now trying to have another horse in the race. They were caught with their pants down by AMD and were forced to release a crippled P4(let's calls it the P4SX) Will the P4, full version be any good? Who knows? AMD will not be sleeping and may well trump the P4 with a better product. Bill
