I have to agree with you that this was out of line. Many people think Mexicans are shiftless and lazy, but the truth is they are the hardest working people I have ever met. Most Mexicans, here in Houston at least, come to the US to do better for themselves and their families. And those I and Kristel have worked with are not on assistance and hold the opinion that it is shameful. Most I have known work three or four jobs, 7 days a week. They have a high savings rate, and value education for their children. They are, in short, the 21st century's Italians, Irish, and Poles. Give them another generation and they will be a political force in America. Derek
