Dear Paul: The P4 is a POS. I have seen it crawl during Windows boot ups, scientific processing, database searching, and other multiuser-multitasking systems. My 1425MHz Tbird outruns even a 2GHz P4. And P4 does terrible on all benchmarks written prior to 1998. Its even slower than a Celeron 800 on some of these. At least with Athlon you do not need to rewrite your software for it to get good performance. And the cost of the software and training far exceeds that of the hardware for most customers. Pete
