If you took everyone of their narrow arguments about the differences between their Buddhism & Christianity, any rational person can easily see they are exercises in forced conclusions , based on shallow ignorance and more concerned with self~aggrandizement , than spreading any Truth . The usual petty ignorant simple~minded evangelist , girding themselves for War , waving their childish "God of Issiah " , God Banners and Bible pounding and Bible apologies ... Pretty rank reasoning & poisinous religious libel by people that are not even able to face their own fear and intolerance they are filled with: It is granted there is some good in all religions. If a religion did not have anything good about it, who would be interested in following it? However, it only takes a little false doctrine to destroy us spiritually. When we lived in Taiwan, we had a problem with cockroaches in our house. We did not use 100% poison to kill them. We took the boric acid and put it inside some sweet cookie dough. The cockroach would eat the cookie dough and also eat the poison and die. Rat poison only has about 2% poison in it. The rest is good food. Not even a rat is stupid enough to eat 100% poison. Such is the case with Buddhism. There are some good things stressed in Buddhism. But it is the poison mixed in with it that will cause a person to be lost eternally. Yes we can see this good "Evangelist" got his doctorate of theology and comparative religion out of a "Cracker Jacks" box . They take issue with the fact that they have Temples in Taiwan as "common as gas stations ".* There is a problem with that ? That these people one night in a Temple " they chanted God's name for over two hours That would indicate to me that they are truely dedicated sincere and have unusually great stamina when practicing their religion. It all boils down to the fact that they are not chanting the name of their shallow Christian idea of God "The Father " . All will be OK in the world if they completely change over the belief in a God who made the world in day , and prophets that may or may not have lived 1/2 a world away. I see they take time out to show how the Bible proved the world is round , as if they are painfully aware of the infallibilities and confusions in the book they hold in their own hands. It's never ceased to amaze me that they are always so willing to bring up the worship of " Idols " in their rants . So Islam or Christianity have no idolatry or representation of God ? Yet it was their divine right to send out army after army into the world with banners waving that resulted in the deaths of Millions in the "Name of their God" So worshiping an "Idol " , which represents the ultimate Truths,Mystery, Wisdom and Reality, is inferior to Worhipping a distorted Word or a Name of God or a Savior , and justifies the killing of millions in the Name & Word <g> of God? ----->How Holy and deep an Understanding was that ? I'll take the idol worshippers myself over these types of simpleminded evangelists ...I wonder if they even begin to recognize the beautiful or positve aspects and energy in these countrys , or their beautiful peaceful Temples while they are so busily condemning these people wholesale to hell? ...as if they have any real power.<G> ;-) Thanks , I'll add it to my ----->Great Christian Modern Day Saint's Links in "Favorites", and the new Christian Evangelist's "Cockroach Theory of Religion." what charmers they are...
