I have a "modest proposal" to further abate the welfare rolls. The federal government should set up reservations for people on welfare - and allow them to have gambling casinos. As long as they live on the rez, they get a share from the casino. It's working like a charm for the Indians.;^)

>>>The CPI cut from 1996 has already resulted in a $ 125 billion per year windfall.<<<

Not to mention how much the windfall has netted since inception. That was during a Republican administration IIRC.

>>The opposition sees the tax cut as biting into their spending priorities. <<

Exactly. Opposing any tax cut on the thought that lawmakers will act fiscally reponsible with the tax revenues -- is really clownish.

That's the horn they toot ... that's all. It's funny how many people they sucker tooting that horn ... it's all BS.

Give me a tax cut now and make it bigger than the one Bush wanted. It isn't tax cuts vs. deficits -- it's government control of my funds vs. my own control of the same.

It is that simple!
