Gore was declared the winner in Florida based on exit polling. After a few dozen calls between Austin and Bush's family and employees (who supervised the election) the numbers magically turned around in Bush's favor.

Exit polling is extremely accurate. Should a candidate's brother and campaign manger be allowed to run the election? Florida makes central American banana republics. look like pillars of democracy.

The election was a sham.
