Scumbria: The i820 vs. i815 argument shows that Rambus' claim of poor bus turnaround on SDRAM/DDR is bunk.

You can argue the semantics all you want, it doesn't change anything: an i820 vs i815 comparison is no a fair way to evaluate the benefits of either memory type over the other. If you want to do that on the basis of PIII chipsets, comparing the i820 to one of the VIA chipsets is actually a fairer comparison, since the FSB and memory bus at least run asynchronously on those.
