Now there is evidence that issuing too many options was a cause of corporate failure Get Serious. The FED cut off the money supply and tanked the entire market. They even made the unforgivable sin of keeping it tight when it was clear that it was time to ease up. The options were minor in comparison to this. Every recession we have ever had has been engineered by the FED and this is no exception. Now that they have burned the house to the ground they are playing fireman and trying to clean up. We will recover, just as with all the past wrecks they caused, but it is tragic to see trillions of dollars sucked out of the market and countless businesses destroyed. And it was all just an academic exercise.
