muzosi: again it doesn't make sense. they were rejecting connections to "telnet www.pricewatch.com 80". there is no ie in that link. btw, now it works for me too.

They probably had a DNS problem. After they fix it, it still takes a very variable amount of time for it to propagate to all regions of the web. This explains why some people had no problems (or stopped having them, rather), while others were (still) experiencing them.

What likely happened is that they switched IP (e.g. because they switched ISPs). It always takes a day or two for the new DNS info to propagate.
