Not to speak of the medical advances in biotech which are huge, the NASA research facility, satellite technology, cultural promotions and it's financial backing, the movie and music industry, major oil refineries. Throw that in with all the Nobel laureates that are hanging around, the beautiful scenery and the fabulous weather........I better not say any more. I have a theory as to why so much "thinking" and creativity springs from the state. The weather is so nice here that people have extra leisure time.
