Gottfried, I noticed the same thing. It is almost sickening in a way to think about how good that would have worked. Maybe somebody should start a newsletter that just advises people as to when to make the switch.

Another way to figure the timing is to take notice of the action by the less experienced investors (for example, the S&P 500 index fund people who wanted to get into techs in the spring of 2000). I saw this happening back then, but I was talked into the Nasdaq 6000 theory by the pundits. I will try not to let those guys do that to me again. Guess I am not experienced enough myself.
