legalizing child abuse That would not reduce crime, that is the direct opposite of what the study shows. Unwanted children are abused and turn to crime. Abortion selectively eliminates the children that people don't want. One of the misconceptions that the anti-abortion advocates promote is that an aborted fetus would otherwise turn out to be a wanted and cherished child. That may happen in some small case, but usually the unwanted child is a neglected or injured future crime statistic. The mother knows best when it is time to raise the child and does not choose abortion when conditions are favorable. TP
