I think that it is almost certain that Compaq is not interested in Palomino for servers. And I would guess that neither Gateway nor IBM are either. Why would any top tier vendor be interested in basing a server on a DP processor with just 256K L2 cache? Unless and until AMD introduces a large cache Athlon Ultra variant, they will not achieve any significant penetration into the server market until Sledgehammer.

OTOH, they might achieve significant penetration into the DP workstation market, including with Compaq.
