You did hear about the fact that Amazon sets different prices for different customers via cookies, didn't you? If they have you tagged as a regular, then you might get higher quotes, though that probably doesn't apply to the used book section since they aren't setting those prices.

Amazon plants a cookie on your machine. When I log on with my old system they "know" me. They don't recognize my new system. Yet.

Yah, I have a similar estimation of conspiracy theorists. Often their perception of what is happening is plausible enough, it's just when we get to their "explanation" of how and why things happen that we enter into fantasy land.

BTW, I'm sure you know that Lee Harvey Oswald had been a GI. I'll bet you didn't know that as a GI he had served as a guard for one of our biggest secrets- the U2 spy planes. Francis Gary Power's spy plane. It was shortly after Oswald moved to Russia that the Soviets discovered U2s were overflying their country, and they shot down Francis Gary Powers. And in case you're wondering, I do think Oswald was the sole assassin of JFK.
