Bill, this discussion has wandered very far away from the point. The point was this: most folks think that money supply doesn't matter, and if they do think it matters, they are looking at the wrong measure. And this covers nearly 100% of all investors. And that is good.

Which prices became unstable in '99, forcing the Fed to hike rates 6 times? What is the correlating instability that is causing Greeny to cut aggressively this year?
