Tony, the eWeek article added some info about the delay saying that the 0.13u rollout would start at ONE rather than FOUR fabs. Of course, this is necessary by "copy exactly," because there has to be something to copy first! That's news.

Well the facts seem clear to me.

Intel has been spending huge amounts of dollars so that it has MASSIVE 0.13 capacity on line this year.

That has been seriously delayed till early next year.

Now they are going to have "limited" 0.13 micron capacity this year.

Unless the NMTC technology allows them to ship 0.13 out of 0.18 equipment.

They will have to qualify production BY NOW to ship volumes this year.

Any wafer starts after september will results in ZERO shipments this year.

Not much time to make masks, qualify silicon and launch volume production.

Seems like disarry to me.
