McNabb, if I might also interject a thought re: GE.....some of the shorts mentioned here are easily squeezed, higher risk, and extremely volatile. A short like GE will perhaps not drop as fast as a LVLT, but OTOH it will not run 5 points against you in a heartbeat.
As it is good to have some value and some growth in a well-rounded long portfolio, it is prudent to have a few slower turtles in your portfolio of shorts. Then again, the turtle won the race in the end if I remember my fairy tales right, and GE may be a dark horse that could pay handsomely.
