Sounds good... Maybe Bush can support that project and arrive at a quid pro quo with that nasty Daschle.

But it would mean that an entire educational and technological infrastructure would have to be created around the site. And not many scientist would likely be favorably disposed to moving there.

Reminds me of the attempt to move the Defense Language Institute from their scenic overlook on prime real estate in Monterey, CA to Sierra Vista, Arizona where Ft. Huachuca is located. The instructors were literally up in arms about the idea and many outright stated they would quit rather than move to that desert hot house.
