I agree on the potential Globalstar technology has to significantly impact OmniTracs, WingCast, Digital Cinema, etc.

I suppose I speak with the confidence of near-total technical ignorance (once upon a time I was an English major!), but all of these applications are located on large enough physical platforms where there is plenty of room for an additional circuit board and its attendant power draw, a handset, and a larger antenna.

Back in my road warrior, pre-cellular dark ages (1978-84) I drove my Buick around with three antenna, AM/FM, CB, and scanner. I added a cellular antenna in 1988 but removed both the CB and scanner, both of which are out in the garage somewhere.

a primary reason for requiring bankruptcy is to eliminate any lawsuit against Qcom for breach of fiduciary duty in picking up control. plus, in bankruptcy, the company can issue registered shares without going through the usual SEC registration process.
