Suppose I buy more leaps for holding till the price peak. Would it not be better to buy the $40 2003 calls than the $50 2003 calls? If the stock is $50 now, then the $40 calls costing $23.10 have a $13.10 time premium. The $50 calls are all time premium and cost $19.50. I would minimize what I pay for time.
