Dead

The real question remains...is SI dead, or just sleeping. The Bre-X affair was the initial incident that drew me to the Silicon Investor community. Everyone was concerned about their money and drew together in common cause. The scenario today is one of financial gloom, no foul play, just despair. Investors are hurting. I am certain many come to check the threads of the current portfolio losers to see if there is any glimmer of hope. In a perverse fashion we have all become shareholders of POS stocks that are fundamentally sound, just so far underwater that there is little light. Successive drops have killed off any ideas about averaging down and it is time to reassess the portfolio with it new amazing prices. The massive adjustment that we just saw is, in my opinion, over. The new devaluations are a harsh reality and major players are not going to soar back to yesterdays highs anytime soon. Look at the price of your favorite gold stocks over the last three years to see a parallel.

There is a lot less said on SI. I am glad you posted Christopher...I think that SI will never die. I can check out the posters that I think make SI the most viable web community in existence and I see a common pattern. Most, if not all have gone back to the original threads where they first joined in the conversation. They chat, educate and entertain...as always, you just have to know where they live. The number of dead posters is truly astonishing.
