Monday May 7 4:50 PM ET Dell Shares Up After-Hours on Forecast NEW YORK (Reuters) - The shares of Dell Computer Corp. (NasdaqNM:DELL - news) rose after-hours on Monday after the No. 1 personal computer maker said it would meet its previous targets for first-quarter sales and earnings. Dell shares rose to $26.83 on the Instinet electronic trading system, up from their close at $25.91 on the Nasdaq. The company also said after the end of Monday's regular session that it would eliminate 3,000 to 4,000 jobs over the next two quarters, as much as 10 percent of its work force. dailynews.yahoo.com
