That's a lot of appearances for Andy Bryant (assuming it was him) lately. He was just on 3 weeks ago after the quarter CC, then the Analyst Meeting a couple weeks ago. Sounds like good news though.

If it was bad news, he would want to be in hiding.<g>

His comments also suggest that the PC chip business is picking up while the communication chip market will be soft for a bit longer. He said that on CNBC today as well.

Intel is probably taking this slowdown as a chance to position themselves for the communication chip market..selling to the Ciscos and Nortels when business does pick up again.

Another interesting point was how the company is still profitable despite a severe downturn. They probably had losses in the last big downturn.

Both Dell and Intel seem to have done a very good job of positioning themselves for the upturn, when it comes.
