Man Sets N Japan Consumer Credit Co Ablaze; 5 Dead,4 Hurt
TOKYO (AP)--A man doused a consumer credit company in northern Japan with gasoline Tuesday and set it ablaze, killing five people and injuring four, police said.
The suspect, wearing a gray auto repair shop uniform, attacked the Takefuji Corp. consumer credit branch in Aomori prefecture after clerks refused his demand for money, said police spokesman Masayoshi Tanaka.

Tanaka said police didn't know whether it was a robbery attempt or if the attack was over a personal credit dispute. The man seen fleeing the scene in Aomori, 575 kilometers northeast of Tokyo, looked to be in his 40s.

The four injured were taken to a local hospital, but no other details on their conditions were available, Tanaka said.
