I miswrote, i think. What i did was a recent upgrade to WinME, and at that point, i started experimentally using IE along with Netscape (even though IE had been installed on my computer for a long time, I never used it because it would cause a mysterious crash, which I didn't really mind because I liked Netscape better.) I'd get messages asking if I wanted to make IE the default browser, and would always say no. For some reason, thinking, well, ME and IE come with the new computer, and I'll have to install Netscape as an extra if I want it... maybe i should start getting used to it to see whether i really need to install Netscape. I think I will put in Netscape, with IE as the default. I was sleepy last night.
