Getting more positive news. Got the Cisco upgrade. I don't think this analyst was going to stick his neck out ahead of the earnings if he was still very negative. Cisco has a big effect on the optical and communication chip market...amcc,pmcs, jdsu types could all drive the Naz. Dell news was good, especially the comment that margins were better than their internal targets--the most significant statement in the whole release, IMHO. Motorola saying they see a recovery. Wireless chip stock along with carriers and other handset makers get a positive lift. There is enough positives in broad range of tech sectors to give the market an explosive lift. Hedge funds may now be ready to take long positions more than they were recently. Noticed Tod Harrison on realmoney.com is coming around to the short term bullish case after trying his luck on the short side. The FED meeting next week will also be a reason for many to cover short positions. All those factors above, can contribute to a major surge in the market, IMHO. (of course, the bullish case looks better today than it did even last night)
