MAY 8 INDEX UPDATE
----------------------------
Short-term technical readings:
DOW - overbought region
SPX - upper midrange
OEX - upper midrange
NAZ - midrange
NDX - midrange

From this point the upside in the DOW could be limited, but the NAZ/NDX , with a midrange reading, has plenty of upside potential room, if the market continues up.

Statistically, the week after expiration is normally a weaker period, but so far the market has been flat, which could be interpreted as somewhat bullish.

Previously I had mentioned the various INVERTED HAMMERs in various major indicies and that pattern is still intacted.

My personal mutual fund account is now basicly flat, and about 90% cash. As for my trade account, I am still significantly long biotech and gold, with a small position in a small-cap hitech.
