I still remember the first time my daughter perhaps eight grade said daddy "it's not fair" or later "it's just not fair" I believe those were her favorite words for the next year.

Today she has an 18 month old boy whom she cannot wait to start speaking and I remind her .. His first words may be "it's not fair" ha

At age 16, a child thinks his/her father is a dumb as a stump, but when they reach 26, they are amazed at how much the old man has learned in 10 short years.
