BENSENVILLE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 8, 2001--LearnCom, Inc.
(OTCBB:LRCM - news) announced recently that it has acquired
VideoLearning Systems, Inc. (VLS) of Bryn Mawr, Penn., one of the
country's leading distributors of training videos, courseware and
CD-ROM's with a library totaling more than 6,000 training titles and
30,000 customers.
VLS (www.videolrn.com) was founded by training industry veteran,
Homer H. Hewitt, in 1972. Mr. Hewitt will continue his role as
President of VLS and join LearnCom's Advisory Board. In addition to
video and CD-ROM formats, VLS also has an extensive library of
e-learning programs marketed to either individuals or licensed to
organizations.
Dennis Barr, formerly Director of Sales of VLS has been promoted
to the new position of Vice-President of Sales for LearnCom. Deborah
Gillespie, formerly Director of Finance & Operations for VLS has been
promoted to the new position of Vice-President Operations for
LearnCom. All three executives will report to Lloyd Singer, Founder,
President and CEO of LearnCom.
