you want an answer to combat spam...ON the boards....here's one answer.... Filters....CHOOSE a filter.... Example: Block all USERS...(not just USER NAMES) who post the same message more than twice on a board. Block all USERS...(who have more than 5 or 10 or 15 complaints by unique users)... Block all messages....that are posted more than 3-5-10 times.... Block all messages ...that include links to files with whacky scripts... Be as descriptive or loose as you choose...
