WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Vice President Dick Cheney (news - web sites) said on Tuesday there was still the possibility that the U.S. economy may slide into a recession.

When asked in a CNN interview if the United States was still at risk of slipping into a recession, Cheney responded, ''I think we are.''
