B, What do you think? Dump Cisco ahead of earnings or wait it out and hope for the best.

Having a tough time with that but might look at just dumping 1/2...some profit taking.

Something tells me that Chambers is after JNPR..read some comments that they are getting aggressive against JNPR. In addition, JNPR is not a big competitor in the enterprise market..which is part of their business that can come back fast..and also a part they face less competition.
A corporation with Cisco routers will buy Cisco routers when needed. That is just the way it is.

So Cisco is getting aggressive in the carrier space that JNPR is now dominating.
Chambers probably has been taking some lessons from Michael DELL.<g>

Dell wants to "force" consolodation in the PC industry..that is, force out small players so that only the big ones are left to grab the market. I look at that as a way to get the no name brand vendors out (and Gateway). So all we are left is the Dell, hwp, compaq, ibm types.

But... it is often a precursor of a start of a trend.

Where or when do you think trends start?
