I think it is hilarious that anthropological finding that because a Swedish woman breast feeds for several years it is therefore correct practice. An infant does not need breast milk for very long after it ingests the initial colostrum. Depending on the health of the mother a balanced formula might actually be better soon after ingestion of colostrum. Message 15768977

But even with some 6,600 board-certified lactation consultants practicing in this
country, and with the decidedly mainstream American Academy of Pediatrics
recommending that mothers nurse their children for at least 12 months and even
beyond, "if mutually desired," American women still lag behind many of their foreign
counterparts when it comes to willingness to initiate and sustain breast-feeding.

Who's believable here, the American Academy of Pediatrics or Rand acolyte Average Joe, pulling "ideas" on nutrition out of thin air? Or are your "ideas" "Sacred", Joe? Because you're in tight with the holier than thou crowd, perhaps? Maybe you preach sanctity, because you like the self righteous sanctimony so popular among the righteous right? I'd guess you just threw in safety for alliterative purposes there, which is cool by me.
