Wow....bullish since the bottom in Naz (which infers you were bearish before then)...
You're good!

Nope. I just was not taking big chances back then. I was diversified in many sectors. Was not bearish at all so I ended up giving up on some potentially big gains....just decided to go a little more defensive and avoided tech.

From late March, i decided to basically go aggressively into tech.

That is the only difference..for me this is bullish and back then it was still bullish but I was not speculating. In a way, you could say I was bearish.
I am basically looking to make aggressive bets for short periods of time and then go back to the diversified approach. Of course, the defensive stance also involves puts and covered calls.

I got lucky on my buy into tech at the right time...and timing the call option buys.

BTW--I did ride the Naz down somewhat but not nearly as much as I rode the Nasdaq up in past 2 years. However, recent gains have basically wiped out most of the losses from the past 7 months or so....so I am just left with the gains from the Nasdaq ride to 5000.
That means I can afford to take some chances even now and I am doing it.<g>
Yes...I was very lucky!
..and think I am on the right side now (technology bull).<g>

Taking the bullish view of the market for another couple of weeks...then pausing (neutral)..until the MSFT Appeals Court decision (which will be another positive)...and later it heads down if the economy gets worse or stabilizes if the economy gets better.

Just waiting for my luck to run out before heading for the exit.
