the problem is that people don't want freedom, because with freedom comes responsibility ... they prefer "rights" and what they are "entitled to." (The lesson of the children of Israel in Exodus comes to mind here -- set free and they wanted to return to Egypt after encountering one of their first challenges -- they were ready to stone their earthly leaders.) A good recession might change the mindset in the US, but I have my doubts ... I have mixed emotions. I wish that some TL and EV would happen for this very reason -- that shackles might be loosened, but personally, I want to come out unscathed. Am I a hypocrite? <g>
