The company also reports that it has received significant diamond results from small, 24kg samples of bedrock from the Area E diatreme. The extent of the Area E diatreme breccia, one of at least 5 separate diamond bearing areas on the GQ Property, has been significantly expanded by the discovery of numerous boulders and sub-outcrop at least 300 meters to the northwest of the latest sampling and trenching. The Area E diatreme breccia has been exposed over a horizontal width of at least 80 meters. The diatreme breccia appears to be oriented more or less parallel to the enclosing Archean volcanic rocks that strike north-westerly and dip 30 degrees to the northeast. The additional sub-crop and angular boulders indicate that the breccia extends for at least 700 meters. The company has received the results of caustic fusion processing for microdiamond analysis for three additional samples in the vicinity of Area E. All of the 24 kg samples returned both microdiamonds and macrodiamonds (at least one dimension greater than 0.5mm). Sample 51265 from the Area E diatreme contained 116 macrodiamonds and 2119 microdiamonds, the most macrodiamonds recovered from any sample processed to date. The largest macrodiamond measured 1.38mm x .76mm x .60mm and 6 other macrodiamonds were greater than 1mm in size. Additional sampling is underway. The Company expects to complete additional geological mapping, prospecting, diamond drilling and sampling on the Area E diatreme and other coarse breccias not yet fully evaluated elsewhere on the GQ Property. The following table summarizes the results of the three samples. Sample No. Weight (kg.) Macrodiamonds Microdiamonds 51261 24 7 124 51262 24 8 692 51263 24 PENDING PENDING 51264 24 PENDING PENDING 51265 24 116 2128 In late May the company extracted and shipped a 12,000kg (12 tonne) sample of diatreme breccia from Area E to Saskatchewan Research Council for processing and macrodiamond recovery. The process used for the recovery of diamonds is set up to recover only those diamonds with at least two dimensions greater than 0.85mm. The sample is first crushed and screened, with the material less than .85mm being separated. The +0.85mm fraction is then passed through a jig process with the heavier minerals, including diamonds, collected. The resultant concentrate is then processed by caustic fusion. The fused concentrate is then examined under a microscope for diamonds and the diamonds recovered are measured and described. Only those diamonds with two dimensions greater than 0.85mm are recovered versus caustic fusion for microdiamond recovery where all size fractions larger than 0.15mm are recovered. The sample size, while insufficient for the purpose of determining the grade of the Area E diatreme breccia is expected to aid the company in determining the upward continuity of the diamond size distribution. It is anticipated that some diamonds in the 0.85 to 3mm range will be recovered from the 12,000 kg sample. The Company expects to receive the results of this test around the middle of June.
