The way I understand it. There wasn't room for the new holiday " I am sensitive and feel your pain Day", so Mother's Day had to be cancelled.

Now that takes the cake... every one get so offended so easily these days, you can't do anything without someone or some group getting their feathers all ruffled or, in this case, their leather all wadded in a bunch, or something like that..... I'm offended with people who get offended so damn easily, so can I claim some special rights? Enough already.....
