...the key question is: is this shift in investor psychology a true reversal or: (1) is it fragile enough to revert back to the February/March panic selling? (2) is there something in the near horizon that could cause a shift in investor psychology..."
I always felt that the big wigs never did get their capitulation and therefore felt cheated that they coulda gotten more coins out of the pockets of mom and pop investors. THus would gladly let mkts slip to reload at lower prices. I believe the recent advance is indeed fragile and fully expect a 50% (1950) pull back going into next Qs. Outlooks will then be determined and stocks plays will be company specific, just not as many dot bombs to kick around this time around.

Investors will dump stocks in a heartbeat when they know their jobs aren't safe. They will lookout for #1. Job cuts are real and they ain't using extra money to play with volatile tech stocks. This is getting like April 15th again. Must have cash on hand to buy grocery and pay bills. Also compounding the earnings problems with high energy costs. Consumers are stretched out with debts. I don't think there are enough people out there to build up the house of cards.

I'm looking for people to take profits from many penny stocks that have well over 25% gain in very short period of time.
