Dear Dave: government sold the guy a shotgun 1/4 inch shorter than the legal limit as a ruse to lay the seige. Wow, thats the first time I ever heard that. To be honest I never really understood what happened up there to cause the shootout. I remember a big shot attorney (forgot his name) was really upset about it all. But Ruby Ridge didnt get the coverage here in Fla. that Waco did. I do a lot of offroading, belong to a jeep club as well as member of "tread Lightly" and participate in Jeep Jamborees sponsored by Chysler. You cant imagin the Rough Shod Nazi tactics being conducted by some of the BLM and the Forestry Dept to close trails to this industry. Clinton in his last days of office signed bills closing off 75% of the roads (trails) in property managed by the forestry service. jdn
