Where did you hear that the agreement with Samsung includes the phosphate technology? I would be surprised. My understanding from the last conference call was that the going rate for the new phosphate technology would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 8%. I suspect that Samsung and Valence will first have to do a little courting, get to know eachother a little, develop a little trust, etc., before really getting into bed together. The rather small up-front fee which is the same as the first licensee paid would also suggest this.

Nevertheless this deal with a giant such as Samsung does indeed show that Valence has something of value to sell and it can only get better from here.
