There's not enough of it to go around. Canada has had two seperate death situations in the last 6 months due to shoddy purification and poor checking. This has been caused I would guess by a reluctance to go overbudget in the departments that are responsible, and also by an increase in contamination which the old systems can no longer handle.
Here in TO we pay 1 tenth of a cent per litre...I don't agree that it is stable at all. It is being used at an increasingly rapid rate, and being pumped out of rich places and sent to deserts to be used as fountains. (eg; Las Vegas). I think clean water is rapidly becoming a very scarce commodity.
