I just realized the petition on my new hard drive with the image
of my old hard drive can be FAT32 even though the rest of the drive
will be formatted with NTFS. So 1/2 my problem is taken care of.

I just found this:

Here is the solution: Cannot write to NTFS partition with Drive Image
Check if the NTFS partition is using a cluster size of 8 KB or greater. As long as the NTFS partition is using clusters smaller than 8 KB, Drive Image/Drive Image Pro can write directly to the partition.
