It's not a question of whether you think your client is innocent. Professionalism means you do your best no matter what. Guilt is a question for the judge, the jury, the prosecutor, the public at large.

It's no different than any other profession - a heart surgeon doesn't ask whether the person whose life he saves is a good person. You do your job.

Sure, the rich are more likely to get better lawyers and a better defense. The rich get better everything. The laws are there for everyone, though - if you aren't rich, maybe you'll be lucky and get a good lawyer for cheap.
