Wait till they get prescriptions embedded into medicare in a big way.... ho ho ho... you'll have deficites "as far as the eye can see" with no help in site. Going to be ugly.

Ben, you misread that part. It wasn't 10.5% OVER 5 years, it was 10.5% in the LAST year, continuing a 5 year trend of rising prices....Actually it was an overall tab that was 19% higher in 2000 compared to the prior year.

There are more choices, with (in most cases) only marginally better results than what came before (and in some cases worse). Utilization of newer drugs is not necessarily a function of superior therapeutic effect and/or a safer side effect profile. It is almost always a triumph of successful marketing.
